“But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.” ~ I Samuel 12:24
Today I had a terrific customer service experience. It was at Verizon of all places, which was an added bonus, since I had several things I needed to accomplish there this afternoon.
The nice guy waiting on me knew his stuff – he could make informed product recommendations, he took his time reviewing all of my phone/internet needs, and was honest about what they could help me with and what they couldn’t. He was polite, kind, and did a great job of actually helping me. I left the store feeling like I had really been treated well, so much so I actually wished that there were an online survey I could take to tell someone what a great job this guy had done.
When we serve the Lord, do we do so faithfully, diligently and kindly that people who have come into contact with us want to share the experience? If we do as this verse in I Samuel says and consider all the great things He has done for us, we have a lot of wonderful things to share with people. If we are Jesus’ customer service representatives here on earth, how would people rate their experience with us?
Our service to Him is a directly reflected in how we serve other people. It is our daily challenge to make sure we’re doing an outstanding job at both.
